Abstract:
This presentation gives an introduction indoor positioning using visible light. First, the properties of visible light sources are discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of using visible light for indoor positioning compared to traditional positioning techniques are considered. Then, different sensors for positioning are introduced, and the advantages and drawbacks of the different sensors will be analyzed. Finally, several approaches to derive the position from the light are discussed.
