The CTD provides foundational technologies aimed at enhancing industry through the exploitation of scientific information and knowledge. Solutions depend on demand and the teamwork involved. Advanced Digital Systems

The laboratory is equipped with the highest technology. Explore and experiment with the fundamentals of digital electronics, designing and building complex circuits. With the use of hardware and simulation tools, practical skills in the design, analysis, and debugging of advanced digital systems are developed.

Industrial Instrumentation Laboratory 

The laboratory is designed to train in the field of measurement and control of industrial processes. It has state-of-the-art technology, helps to acquire practical skills with instruments and sensors, calibration, data acquisition and programming. It encourages research and solves real problems in the industry.

GROUPS


Research Group on Networks and Technological Infrastructure (GIRIT)

It has been researching for 10 years. Today he investigates telematics and artificial intelligence (AI) systems for physical infrastructure with a focus on sustainability. Current projects are: analysis of satellite data for smart renewable energy, predictions and recommendations for energy efficiency. He leads the Smart X initiative that promotes the use of AI through tutorials, demos and review articles.

Research Group on Automation, Industrial Control, and Electronics (GIACIE)

The GIACIE specializes in advanced research on the estimation, identification, and control of subsystems within smart electrical grids, with the aim of contributing to their effective implementation. Additionally, it focuses on the control of complex industrial processes, driving the development of smart industry. The group implements control algorithms in embedded systems to develop innovative prototypes. Furthermore, GIACIE collaborates in the mathematical modeling of multidisciplinary issues, supporting other research groups at ESPOL in accelerating their scientific processes.

Bioinformatics and Autonomous Learning Laboratory

The Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Autonomous Learning (LBA²) is dedicated to advanced research in artificial intelligence applied to biomedical engineering. Its primary goal is to develop innovative tools for patient monitoring and medical decision support. The laboratory specializes in the design of autonomous learning algorithms, such as artificial neural networks and reinforcement learning models, which enhance the accuracy and efficiency of these systems. Additionally, LBA² incorporates robotics for process automation and quality control.
